I actually did a lesson similar to this very recently. I wish I presented it this way! Creating this lesson using Smore made the activity more attractive and interesting! My students had fun doing the lesson but I'm sure the level of engagement would be higher with the way it is presented below!
I love this lesson and I love the idea of having students research images of tools we use in our everyday life and create a PPT or iMovie. This would allow them to practice new literacies (identify, locate, evaluate, synthesize, and communicate through multimedia). If you created a sample PPT or iMovie, you could insert links to make it more interactive. I recently took a machine learning course through MOOCS and I find it very interesting! Is there standards you align? Common Core? What would be the acceptable evidence to demonstrate their learning outcomes? Great job! :D
